Serving Our Community In Times of Hardship

Leavenworth Interfaith Community of Hope works as a team to bring resources and funding to provide emergency services to those in need.

The shelter serves 50-100 warm, nutritious meals each day, Sunday-Friday. During pandemic times, we serve three meals a day, every day of the year for our guests. Community meals are served on Saturday. Each night the Night Shelter of Hope, provides 20-30 men, women, and children a warm bed and safety from the streets.
Although we do not offer a clothing closet, the Community of Hope hands out clothing, hats, gloves, and other essentials to individuals experiencing homelessness. We distribute this clothing to men, women, and children who may have little more than the clothes on their back. We also offer resources to help those who are in need acquire the clothing they need through other local organizations.
The Shelter provides restrooms, hot showers, and personal hygiene supplies that are all available to our guests.
During the day our Day Center and new Satellite location is open every day to provide a safe place for hundreds of men, women, and children with nowhere else to go. Here they have the opportunity to learn new skills with our volunteers, interact with community members and work towards growing and leading better lives.

EMERGENCY RENTAL AND UTILITIES ASSISTANCE

The Community of Hope provides funds to assist families that have been affected by COVID-19.  We are able to provide emergency rental and/or utilities assistance to families experiencing hardship due to COVID-19. The emergency rental assistance program/utility assistance program will benefit Leavenworth County families who are at-risk of homelessness, and will help them to maintain stable housing.
